Have you heard about a teacher who hit his student? Well, a Dr Soetomo student in Surabaya who named Maria, confess that she was hit with a broom in her head till bleeding by her teacher. Her parents were in anger and reported the teacher to the police. The police and the education official came directly in her school and solve the problem. The teacher said that Maria was naughty in the class and shouted to her friends while he was teaching.
Punishment is needed in education, to make the student won't do the same mistake anymore. But I think all forms of violence aren't tolerant.
